If I put a Evo7 in the bridge and an air norton7 in the neck?
would I get a nice smooth petruccish shred tone? Would 1 pickup sound weaker than the other?

A lot of people do the tone zone/air norton combo. I dunno much about the evo/air norton combo.

My Uv777pbk pickups are EVO7/AN7!
I can say that the sound is GREAT!
The evo7 is hot, loud pickup .... the AN7 is different story
This pickup is more bassy with a lot of middle in it .... well awesome pickup!
IMHO the both pickups are great for lead tone and YES you can get this shred sound you're looking for!!! (*IMHO* )
AN7 match perfect with Evo7, the sound of An7 won't be weaker than Evo7 (with some elementary puckup setup of course )
You won't be disappointed if you get these pickups!

Like I said Im most of the time an emg guy, but I dislike the 707s. What other pups are the an7 and or the evo7 like? are the evos in this guitar..

man this sucks! Im getting so many mixed opinions (which I guess I knew would happen) but I have no idea what pickups to get! I know the obvious answer is try them out for myself, but there arnt any axes I can think of that have any of these pups in them and if there are there isnt one anywhere near me. unless you guys can think of any.

All I want is a high out put pickup that has a **** load of sustain and sounds really really smooth and can handle alot of gain or effects. and isnt muddy (cause they are for a 7 string of course)
