what ever.. ok im wondering if i can just hook up my crappy marshall mg100hdfx from the headphone/record jack into my mixer which im doing right now, but what i really need help with is. can i NOT hook up my cab, becasue i dont have room for it in my personal studio right now. im just wondering if it will screw it up, i know you cant do it with tube heads, but this head is SS. so thanks yeah help me.

Even though it's SS the load from the amp has to go somewhere (through the speakers) so you should not hook it up without speakers.

As far as I know, it's perfectly fine to run a SS head with no speakers connected.

if you are worried.. couldn't you buy a power soak unit.. or something. thats rated at enough watts and correct impedience? it would be much smaller than a cab, and still have a place for the load to go..i'm under the impression that you can do this, but maybe not
