I have a great idea! Please read this!!

Since people are always wanting to know what certain effects and amps sound like, I wondered if you guys would participate in a thread where we post clips of the gear in action?

For instance, I'm in the market for a BBE Sonic Maximizer and a Compressor. I'd love to hear someone play their rig with the Compressor turned on and then that same rig with no compressor so I could hear the difference.

I thought it would be cool if we could do that for each other. For instance, if someone wants to know how the G-Major handles pitch-shifting, they could post the request and a member could upload a sample.

What do you think?

Does older gear count? I have the GSP2101.. I love it - but it's old-school now.

all gear counts!

I figured each person could post two lists: what they have, and what they'd like to hear

Here's mine:

I have:

JEM7VWH
Morley Pro Wah II
DOD FX7 PreAmp
BOSS Chorus Ensemble
BOSS Digital Delay
BOSS DS-1
Fender Princeton Chorus

I'd like to hear:

A sample with and without the use of

BBE Sonic Maximizer
A Rack Compressor

Wow, funny you mention this.

I just put 3 different pickups in the bridge position of my Root Beer Jem
and recorded high bitrate waves, then converted them down to MP3 so
you guys could have a listen. Heh. funny.

I'm going to start another post with my pickup recordings now. If I can
get my hands on an Evo, and a Breed like I'm hoping too, I'll add those
also.

Something kind of related...

I'm getting DS-1 from analogue man, its a stock MIT but totally moded...to well what people have told me to be better than a MIJ. Will have to wait for the proof, but the samples i heard were really realy juicy.

Will post when i have it.
