I just got Dino's modded JCM 800 2203 - Insane Crunch

I just received one of Dino Cazares' heavily modified Marshall JCM 800 heads. DAMN this amp is LOUD and the gain is amazing. It is like a VHT Pittbull....Tight and Focussed. Very crunchy and it definitely does NOT sound like your standard Marshall. It has 6550 power tubes and 2 extra 12AX7's. It ha also been modified with a FX loop and a Noise gate. I think I am in love.......

if you did in fact get one of Dino's amps. yeah like TwoHands said, all of his modded Marshall's and custom Ibanez 7-strings were stolen while on tour, in Philadelphia I believe....... that's why he switched to Mesa then (and also) Line6 and had to use modified Ibanez and then a little later newer custom 7's.....

I have been talking with Dino since I bought one of his guitars on Ebay. Rich has also purchased one of his custom guitars. The amp I purchased was not one of the ones that was stolen. I bought it directly from him. He had several of the modded Marshalls and his main one was stolen only, he had 3 or 4 others that were backups.

He is doing pretty good all things considered. He has some stuff in the works. Solo album, Brujeria, guest appearances, etc. You haven't herd the last of him. As for the tech who did the mods....He goes by the name "Metal head" and he is located in CA somewhere. I don't know if he is doing mods anymore, but, by the way this amp sounds I would hope he still is.
