ibanez distortionpedal - tonelook smashbox

I tried it today, and I liked it.
I belive it is the most extreme pedal in the tonelook series.
It definetely has enough gain!
I put the gain at twelve o'clock, and got a really nice sound for leads.
Im thinking of buying one.
should I buy it or should I buy perhaps a DS-1 instead?

it was the smash box.
I have heard that the regular distortion, sounds a lot like the boss DS-1, although better. Have you tried any of the pedals in the tonelok series?

Yeah, I have used em all....I really like the Smashbox for amazingly high gain crunch, thrash, and shred sounds....it's not much for smooth lead, in my opinion....but for chunking and "rip your face off" distortion, this is it....

by the way, do the tonelok pedals have hardwire bypass? imho a pedal that doesn't have this is useless even if it has great tone

the smash box has a two way switch.
sharp and smooth.
on the smooth mode, it could get some good lead tones.
But do you know any other better pedals for lead playing?
im going to run it on the clean channel of my marshall 100w valvestate.
