Ibanez RG

I want a white Ibanez RG. Currently, the only one is the RG350DX, not as good as a 550 or 2550.

Am I right in thinking the RG350DX is Korean made and not Japanese made?

My other option is to get a 550 or 2550 and get it re sprayed.

Re: Ibanez RG

Plus it'll say "Made in Japan" or "Made in Korea" on the back of the headstock. But if you're choosing your next guitar just by superficial looks then you're going to be dissapointed. Also, if you can afford a 2550 then why not just get a 2570 which comes in Vital Silver?

Re: Ibanez RG

I'm not buying a guitar for looks, but I want a white RG. I won't go for a korean, it will have to be japanese.

Vital silver? I want white lol but good suggestion anyhow, still a very nice guitar, but it's not white.

I'll get a 550 or 2550 and get it re finished. No superficial reasons only, as it has to be a 550 or 2550. The re finish is good as its not going to cost alot more than the guitar in the first place.

Whoa whoa whoa, I think you can get an RG1550 in white with gold hardware and maple fretboard. There was one recently on the bay.

Tasty guitar I know that much

Found a pic

http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?im...005-41,GEUA:en

The guy has swap the original white humbuckers for black 'uns.

And again, the last one I saw had a maple fretboard.

Re: Ibanez RG

That's a custom, not one Ibanez produces, and mine will not have gold hardware, I'd go for cosmo.

Re: Ibanez RG

RG1550GXWB is the model and it is one Ibanez produces, google it up or check out Ibanez register.

I'm sure you could trade the gold trem with someone.

Hell, if you really want, just go and buy an RG350DX, I'm sure you'll LOVE that

Re: Ibanez RG

That's because it was limited edition. Are you after buying new?

Re: Ibanez RG

Ah that's why. I don't mind buying a new 2550 and getting it sprayed white. Or find a second hand 550 and getting it sprayed. That 1550 will be hard to find if its limeted edition, and its metallic, I'd go for straight white.

Re: Ibanez RG

They made some RG550's in white in 1987, maple fretboards too.

Re: Ibanez RG

I hear you Gex, but my chances of finding an '87 are slim. Anyway, I'd prefer a later RG so that I can have the all access neck joint, it's a finer joint that doesn't suffer from cracking.
