Ibanez TN120 Thermion
We just received our first shipment of these amps... have you guys heard this thing yet? We A/B'd it against a
Mesa Dual Rectifier
head and a Marshall TSL100 Friday night and much to my surprise everyone at the shop liked the Ibanez better! This is quite an accomplishment considering the Ibanez is about $500.00 less than the Boogie or Marshall.
I'm a long time Dual Rec guy and we sell some high end amps here like Diezel and Roccaforte, but my Ibanez rep wasn't kidding when he said I was going to be impressed!
Drop me an email, phone call or PM for pricing and any other info.

Re: Ibanez TN120 Thermion
I've tried that one i thought it was way better than all the mesa boogies and marshalls i've tryed.
But the only bad thing is, is that the
guitar shop
owner said that if isnt plugged in right it can catch on fire, have u heard that?

Re: Ibanez TN120 Thermion
Any
tube amp
that isn't plugged into a speaker cabinet will blow the transformer, not just the Ibanez. This would be kind of like putting your car in neutral and putting the gas pedal all the way to the floor, your engine wouldn't last too long either!

Re: Ibanez TN120 Thermion
Please don't bother to answer my question.
Despite checking the Ibanez site, online sellers and extensive googling, came up with zip on the country of manufacture. Then, found a seller on e8ay and asked the question.
Yup, Made in China.

Re: Ibanez TN120 Thermion
How else would they make an all tube amp that competes against the
Marshall TSL
and Mesa
Dual Rectifier
, for substantially less than both of these amps?

Re: Ibanez TN120 Thermion
That's neither fair nor realistic. Comparing an unproven, virtually experimental product made in the Orient to 2 of the most reknown and celebrated amp manufacturers in the world with 70 years of combined R&D and marketing experience is like comparing your business to that of Donald Trump.
Peavey ValveKing
100w head may be a fairer comparison. Also made in the Peoples Republic of China but with a valve amp heritage stretching over 20 years.....and half the price of Ibanez's first ever tube amp. On second thoughts, that not a fair comparison either.

Re: Ibanez TN120 Thermion
No offense, but this amp blows away just about every
Peavey amp
ever built.

Re: Ibanez TN120 Thermion
Sounds interesting.
Any idea when/if this amp will be sold in Europe?

Re: Ibanez TN120 Thermion
I guess it would be better to wait for it to become available here, as the total cost and guarantee would be two negative experiences - and the need to purchase external units to even make it work.
