Anyway, I have a Lakland Joe Osborn 5 incoming, so I'm not too bummed about it.
Wow, my friend ordered a carvin once with postage of 2/3 days and he got it down here in florida in one day

Re: Incoming basses!
Yeah, it was fully insured and the guy I bought it from refunded me immediately. It worked outy in that regard without a hitch.

Carvin is great with their shipping, but I bought this used from a guy on talkbass.com, not from Carvin. The guy couldn't have been cooler though, but the PO just screwed up.
I got a Lakland JO5, I'll post up some pics of that. It's pretty sweet

Re: Incoming basses!
Furthering the saga, the guy who I bought the Lakland from hand delivered it, and had his neck through Smith 6 string with him at the same time. It was, no sh*t, the most amazing stringed thing I have ever held in my hands. Absolutely otherworldly.
MUST HAVE SMITH
So, I sold the Warwick, the Lakland is also up for sale, and I am getting a Smith. Whether it's a BSR5 or BSR6 I don't know yet, as they are pricey (4 grand used for the 6 strings) but you gotta do what you gotta do and all that.

Re: Incoming basses!
The Lakland JO5, which I've decided not to sell after all. It just sounds so good with the Fralins in it. So, without the cash from selling this, the Smith can't happen. But I still need (want) a 6, so I'm off Bongo hunting again. I loved my Bongo 4 HH, so I'm going to see if I can get a deal on a 6 HH.
in her case

Re: Incoming basses!
I saw Dave Larue's orange Bongo up close (as in I could touch it) and its very
very
nice
Designed by BMW too, apparently one of their more "conservative" designs
