Installing ZR

Has anyone here installed/retro fitted a ZR trem on a guitar that wasn't built with one? I've researched the ZR trem and notices it's only on S series guitars

I'd really like to get one on a xiphos or falchion but would that work? Do the Edge iii have too wide of a cavity? I've read bad things about the edge iii and it's softness and I really like the ZR trem.

I installed a ZR into my RG560 everyone told me it would not work, but I have a good amount of woodworking + guitar modding experience/knowledge, it has been working fine since 2009

I would not recommend this if this is your first mod.

Firstly, those guitars look killer. Did you inlay the fretboards?? Please tell me its not paint.. Secondly, Would you please share your experience? It looks well done, and I'm pretty sick of this edge pro ii on my RG which is about to go thru a makeover.

Honestly, it wasn't that hard, most of the work is under the tremolo, aside from enlarging the tremolo route so that the ZR could move freely.

I had to dowel one tremolo post hole because the ZR posts are slightly narrower, but it did not affect string spacing.

Under the tremolo itself, I had to remove some wood so that it could be pulled up/down, and made a round spacing underneath the tremolo arm so it could also move freely.

The ZPS is also used, but with the tremolo claw.
