I took a chance on the Warp Factor from Hughes & Kettner. I plug it into the clean channel of my Peavey Rock Master. Mind you, I have never played a Mesa Rectifier, except in a store for 5 minutes. I wasn't looking to NAIL the sound, just looking for a more modern sounding distortion for 7 string and low tuning. It's pretty cool. It even has a "Sub" button, when pushed in adds this subsonic type low frequency.

Yeah I vote the Mesa V-Twin as well. I tried one in a guitar shop and I thought it sounded awesome, very nice crunch to it. Do a search here on the forums, I am pretty sure they have been discussed here before.

To my ears the v-twin doesn't sound like a rectifier. But it's a cool sounding pedal.

I think that Soldano puts out a recto-sounding pedal.

Just try the boogie pedals. But I should mention that they have stopped making them just this year so if you want one check it out soon. the soldano pedal is really good too. The recto really are close to the soldano design wise.
