Is this a good deal?

Rivera Knucklehead II (not sure if it's the 100 watt or 55 watt head) + Rivera Cab for $1000

Is that a deal worth going for? I've got a JCM 800 and a Marshall 4x12 cab right now, and I'd like a set up more versatile. I might be able to trade my current amp in for this one. I haven't had a chance to play through it, but I know it's quite a bit more versatile than my JCM 800, and the amp is fairly high end, so it can't sound horrible.

The rivera is a great amp, and that seems like a great price, unless something bad happened to the amp or cab...However, if your 800 is in good condition, you might not want to trade it, as they are quite sought after now, and you might be able to get more if its in good condition...I recently saw one sell at a local G.C or 800 for a 50 watt head, that was in terrible condition...good luck to you, Tobe

From just looking at them, the head and cab appear to be in great shape. The amp and cab have been sitting around the store for at least a year and a half now, and that's why I think the price is so low.

My JCM 800 is in decent condition...the head is a little dirty and it has some nicks here and there, but everything functions properly. The cab is near mint.
