Ive done it! Ive found THE meshuggah Tone!

If anything this sounds better than their set up! (not quite sure how that works but in my opinion it sounds class to theirs!)

DOD Fx86 Death metal Pedal bass- 10 mid - 0 Treble - 8 ON
DOD fx56 Metal Maniac pedal Presence - 6 Distortion -10 ON

This causes ALOT of feedback so......

Behringer Feedback Destroyer Pro

Then into ANY stack and this sounds amazing!

(detune 7-string MUST be used!)

Yeah, I just nailed the "Nothing" tone on my PodXT. It sounds pretty cool.

Gotta say, though, once you get your head around the polyrhythms, the outro to "Straws Pulled at Random" is one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard...

My bands not much of a "cover" band but we have been playing around with Meshuggah's "Closed Eye Visuals" just for fun.
We'll jam on that when we send the bass player out on a beer run.

I agree with you about Straws Pulled at Random. It's just perfect. Many hardcore mesh fans seem to not like this last part that much for some reason. Oh well.

My favourite is still probably Stengah though, especially the way it begins and ends.

I love the "Straws..." outro! It's so melodic, yet heavy and unconventional, I love it

I see more people are like me in thinking that straws pulled at random is incredible. and i did notice that the more hardcore fans don't seem to like it that much. now, if only i could get my hands on an 8 string conklin custom!!!

Yeah... one day i'm gonna detune my 7 and rip that off blatantly for an isntrumental tune, if only i can get used to rhythms like that...

Actually, i'll probably just use a similar idea for a bridge or something, it'll make for a VERY dramatic changeup if you do it right...

Immitation is flattery, after all... but yeah, it's an amazing section. Even my dad liked it, lol.
