Jackson amps anyone? - found one cheap-need info

Well, something I had never seen before came into my range of sight and I'm looking for anyone who has had any experience with one of these. This is a Jackson Apogee 50 2x12 combo and it is CHEAP! A quick tour shows all-tube construction(2 el-34's), 2 channels w/ dual lead function, a pair of Celestion Vintage 30's, effects loop, line out,etc.. The tube sockets were ceramic, the chassis WAY heavy duty steel, this thing looks to be very well put together. The back said "handbuilt in the USA..." The guy at the pawn shop looked at me like I was insane when I asked if I could take the chassis out for a quick inspection. My only fear is the possibility that when service time rolls around parts may not be available, but how much stuff in a tube amp is proprietary? I read the one and only post on HC and it mentioned a retail of $2600 when it was new - point to point wired maybe? It fired up and sounded great, but so did the Crate I brought home the other day(until it popped the main fuse twice on me after 1/2 hour of use!). I have had nothing but bad luck with tube amps lataly, so taking a risk on some long out of production, oddball rig might not be the best idea, but maybe that's exactly what I need to do. Any insight would be hugely appreciated. *Peace * *Z

Chris,
This is completly unsubstantiated, but I read somewhere that the Jackson tube amps were almost exact Marshall clones. I believe Saldono had a hand it their construction and design as well. Parts for these amps are easy to find since they didn't use odd-ball components. Excellent amp!
