He ain't bitching because he's RIGHT. I'm surprised he actually waited this long.

In fact, I think we ALL should just chip in our life savings to Vai before he starts releasing his own signiature Honeywell fan, SWIRLED no less.

You know, Ibanez actually could have made some money off of this if they didn't charge an arm and a leg for something that probably cost them a whopping total of $.03 to make (and that's including what they charge the person that they're underpaying to make it). If it were more reasonably priced I might have bought it. But, they just had to take something they already make, double it, slap Vai's name on it, and charge $200.

Why, oh WHY, would you buy this when you could buy other pedals (Damage Control Solid Metal, Line 6 DL-4, need I go on?)? I'll tell you why, because of a little label with the letter V A I. And we've got a bunch of mindless fanboys (not all of you, but there are a number of them) who will buy anything with that annoying logo slapped onto it.

I'm not saying Vai's products (or his playing for that matter) are bad, the JEM is one of the best, if not THE best, guitars I've ever played, and the Legacy is a beast. But this, and the Bad Horsie pedals are... well... horse crap. Okay, I'll give the original Bad Horsie some credit, but seriously... the Little Alligator? Come on.

Yes I'm sure that you're fully qualified to comment on the sound and reliability of a pedal that isn't even out yet

So its better to build something slap damage control or line 6 on it and charge $200? Are non-endorsed pedals somehow exempt from your ruling of overpriced? How one $200 two channel distortion pedal be overpriced while the other one isn't?

Maybe because it offers different tones from the other pedals and you like the tone? I'm withholding judgment on it until I have the chance to use one, but I will say that Vai's lead tone sounded very good when I saw him, and he had the jemini is his rig. So I'm remaining hopeful, despite the disappointing news of two identical channel

And wtf of all things to mention as an example of value you use the DL4? Its known for being unreliable, and you can get the TC Electronic nova delay for the same price

This thread reminds me of the mac vs pc debates. Yes, there are mac fanboys who buy anything with an apple logo. But the windows users who immediately deem everything mac makes as crap without even using it are no better

$285 MSRP, and I believe $199 street. At least that's what Sam Ash is advertising.

Re: Jemini Pedal

Not all, but some drive pedals will work well with others. Like the jeckle-hyde. You can use one to drive the other, which is really like having 3 pedals.
