That's why it's $25 - comes with authentic Vai poop on it, and maybe even bits and pieces of DNA. Collector's item.

I would seriously wear those, I like Vai's fashion sense!
And I'll probably get a Jemini when they come out, I don't actually use my pedals that much (at the mo workin' the novelty of my new boss ME-50 but that'll wear down) but I like to own them in case if ever do need them. Plus I'm a Vai fanboy.

Re: Jemini Pedal

You need to be Vai to wear what he wears. Anyone else would look like a douchebag in it.

Well not exactly what he wears cos NOONE could pull that off other than him but the same style of clothing is possible

Re: Jemini Pedal

Well i never tried little aligarttor.. but bad horsie is on my setup and is a pretty good wah.. i use it to distorted sounds.. for the clean ones i prefer my old gcb95...
bout jemini.. the temptation of having a swirled pedal with vai logo is big.. bu ill test first and if jemini beat my ts9 a ds1 together.. so i'll spend my precious gold..

Re: Jemini Pedal

I have the belief that there's no such thing as a bad piece of gear. Some things just suit a certain type of music. Case in point Prince's guitar tone from Purple Rain..as a guitar tone it's pretty hideous but in the mix it suits the music.

As for the Jemini...well speaking as a Legacy owner I know that some pedals don't work well with it.
I have a AC Booster that I use with the clean channel just for that texas SRV type tone but using the same settings on the dist channel and this is only with the legacy dist on 6 you get a 'farty' tone yet whan I use an MXR Microamp or Zakk Wylde that goes away unless I wind up the gain on the channel, these are bedroom levels though so it may be different at gig levels.

There are hundreds of pedals out there and depending what mood your in some can sound good some awesome. Yet when you try a pedal out in the store most can't ask to try it in a setup that is identical to yours so you can't get to hear the nuances of the pedal you need to make a judgement decision after playing it for 15 minutes through a different guitar and into a different amp. Unless you've had something for a while you can't really judge it. e.g. I tried a 5150 amp out about 10 years ago and deemed them too fuzzy yet I've heard recordings with them that sound great e.g. Devin Townshead Synchestra. That's also what i love about Harmony Central reviews, someone gets a pedal out the box and 10 minutes later posts a review...makes me laugh.

I bought a DS-1 to see what all the fuss was about since Satch and Vai both used them and I have to say I thought it sucked ass...until I used it with a JCM800 live and the tone was awesome.

I'm mostly a bedroom guitarist and know that Vai's rig is designed for LOUD so you'll not get the best from it at bedroom volumes.

It'll be interesting with the Jemini going head to head with the Satchurator I'm itching to try them both but to be honest the Satchurator looks more my kinda thing but still swirls ....hmmmmmmm

Yeah that'll be the test. But in my opinion the Satchurator looks WAY cooler. I mean I'm sure it's just as flexible as the JSX head (which everyone around here seems to love). I'm sure it'll be a hit.

Hopefully it wont be full of surface mount components, or digital, becase if it is I doubt Keeley will be able to do much with it.
