You could, but then dont go showing pics of it here. Half the people will say ATD would do it better and the other half would drool on it, and try to buy it off you

Re: Jemini Pedal

Ok had time to try it now and send it back (thank god for money back guarantees).

This unit sounds like crap compared to my solid metal.
While its basic sounds are acceptable they are nowhere near as rich as the tube distortion in the solid metal.
Plus the solid metal has near to no hiss or anything, the Jemini has tons. Even the DS-1 has less hiss... Also the bypass is crap and sucks tone.

200 bucks for that? Riiiiight. While I love Ibanez guitars and my JEM this unit is an overpriced bunch of horse huey. Damage Control all the way here.

The switch makes the lights on it brighter. It is the biggest rip off, both the tones are horrible

Re: Jemini Pedal

So Vai has a video on youtube demoing it himself. Yeah I know it probably shouldn't count cause its Vai sounding awesome anyhow. Anyway Those who argued about the price while steep is probably accurate. I am almost certain that the distortion is based of of DS1 but keeley ultra modded one which goes for $129. And a if the overdrive is based on the TS9 then that goes for 99.95. In which case you actually save ~$30 over getting them as separate pedals. So I tried to post the link but my post count need to be above 20 first. So search jemini on youtube and the video is by SteveVaiHimself.

What are you on about? Who said that the pedal shares any common ground with a DS-1 or TS-9? Its not a DS-1, its not a TS-9, and having tried a Jemini it sounds like crap compared to a well modded DS-1 or TS-9. Thankfully the UK distance selling regulations mean that we have at least a week to return an item if we dont like it for any reason. The best thing that Steve ever put his name to is the Universe (good move), oh and the Jem isnt too bad I guess. The worst things seem to be effects, the Jemini, the BH2 and the G-system, oh dear.

Hey back off moron, oh thats right, Ibanez say so - so it must be true, so go spend your pocket money if you believe their bull and be the fool. Take a peek on the inside of one and it'll explain everything (oh you have to be able to have an understanding of basic electronics, you might learn that at school when your older). The only common ground is that its supposed to offer the flavours of overdrive, and distortion, but does it share the same gain stages as the TS9 and DS-1? Dont think so sucker.

Your lack of ability to have an intelligent discussion really shows with your juvenile name calling and insults. I never said I was interested in the pedal in the first place. Take it up with Ibanez if you are so angry about it and think you are so much smarter than those who actually designed the pedal. Go jump in a lake. Maybe that'll help you cool down from your little temper tantrum here, kiddo.

Edit: Just want to add, there are a lot of OD's and boosters out there that sound VERY similar to a Tubescreamer, and they certainly don't have the same guts. They never claimed the pedal had a straight up DS-1 and TS-9 in there.

Re: Jemini Pedal

So Chris, you can take a look inside a pedal and tell it's tonal characteristics by looking at the circuit board?

That's pretty impressive.

Ibanez has done everything in their power to tell users it's a ds-1 and ts9 without actually coming out and saying it.

Let's back off calling dudes morons because they had the audacity to read a review from the manufacturer and take it at face value.

If you've played one and don't like it, good for you. Share your experience, but I think we should be above calling each other morons.
