Re: Jemini Pedal

I'm less excited about this pedal since seeing the catalog which said it was 2 identical distortion pedals.

Yea but Steve Vai uses it and MADE it that means thousands of over excited folks will HAVE to HAVE it.

I'm sure there will be some good mods that will be available in the future though do to that fact.

Re: Jemini Pedal

I am a little suprised that they have a double pedal that is well....a double

I was excited about this pedal (love the swirled housing) when I thought it was a TS-9 AND DS-1.

I actually have both those pedals and still would have bought this one had it had both pedals, but two of the same pedals in one...not sure what to think about that other than I'll be waiting to hear more once the reviews start coming in before I buy.

I would have ordered sight un"heard" if it was what I thought it was going to be, a TS-9 and DS-1.

Re: Jemini Pedal

Two of the same pedals, but you can have different settings in each pedal. You will not have to stop the show to change the settings. Sometimes using two pedals together vs. just one can boost / change the sound. I'm getting one.

Re: Jemini Pedal

I can see how that might be fine for some. I never have to change settings other than ON or OFF for my distortion.

It is possible that the distortion in this pedal will go from TS-9 mild to DS-1 full and in that case I see this as a plausible idea.

I WANT to buy it but I have to be able to get use out of it.

Or simply buy for the same price a Damage Control Solid Metal which holds 8 Presets and has real tubes that will blow away the jemini in sound quality....

Yeah but it's swirled and endorsed by Vai, people will still have to have it.

Re: Jemini Pedal

You had me at "Swirled" Seriously though I may get one as I can see the advantages of it. I'm sure it's not for everyone, thank god there are hundreds of other distortion boxes for the rest to choose from.

Tank do you have a Solid Metal? I'm considering one, wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts?

well if that translates to a straight convert to pounds then its approx £100, which is what I was kinda expecting it be. Still quite pricey definately a case of reading reviews and of course opinions from here.
