Well I got it in white and its built solid. Weighs about 50 pounds. Loaded with V30s. I took to 3 different high end guitar shops and AB'd with some nice stuff. Matchless cab with a Dr Z head 1st .. It sounded so much fuller than the matchless. The Matchless sounded great but the Wave cabinet made the Dr Z sing.
Took it to another shop and AB'd against a
Genz Benz rig and it won that one too. Even the store people agreed and they have to sell the Genz Benz rig.
3rd store we AB'd it against a Mesa 212 and it sounded better. The Mesa had a big bottom end but it was muddy to me. Dual Rec head. It had that bass resonance that roars and I hate that. The Wave didnt have the bottom end until the head was turned up a little louder and then we had big bottom end with no resonace or mud. Everyone there agreed the Wave was a great sounding cab. Id definetly recommend this cabinet but as with all music gear tone is subjective. You can always sell it if you dont like it. My opinion is that these are great cabs. Its not a $4000 boutique rig so if you want a $4000 rig get one but for a little over $600 US its well worth it. 5 color options too and custom tolex colors for a small upcharge
