JSX Combo Ohm switch broke?

Hey guys, long shot here but...

During shipping, the JSX 2X12 I got may have had the Ohms/cab selector switch broken or pushed in.

I dropped the internals down, took out the switch (switchcraft) and opened it up and noticed that the switch looks like a railroad track with the copper tie sliding between the poles, parallel down the track. The issue I may have though is that there was only on tie, sliding down one side of the switch. The other track (side) looks like it may have also been tied together at some point since the copper parts of the switch look shinier where the tie had sat. Wondering if anyone knows what that switch is supposed to look like?

I dont know how to explain this any other way. I can post some pics tonight.

The amp works, sounds ok but I dont want to be doing internal damage and not know about it.

Thoughts?

Who did you buy it from? Was it new? If it was, I would call Peavey immediately so they can address the problem and get it resolved.

Good call Van, posted it up and have been reading up. That is certainly the place I need to be!!

Bought it used. I think something hit it hard, there is a gouge right above the switch. The switch was pushed in, so hard that it pushed the internal of the switch out the back. I thought I would do some homework before I took it in to have it checked out.

After hearing this amp and it's versatility, I want to make sure it stays with me for a long time.
