Never played a switchblade, but I've liked most H&Ks Ive played.
Not a fan of the JCM2000s at all, or Boogies. I briefly checked out the JSX when it first came out and it was pretty cool

The only Mesa that's out now that I like is the Roadster. It sounds incredible. I had the chance to play one cranked to a decent volume, and it was a joy to use. I'm not a fan of the JCM2000, any other new Mesa's besides the Roadster, or the JSX to tell you the truth.

Check out the Roadster though.

Hei,
as you maybe read am i about to buy me a new Amp too. I am playing mostly Vai, Satriani, Timmons, Malmsteen, Vaughn. Had the possibility to test some Amps several days ago. Tested the following amps: Mesa Boogie Express, Dual Rectifier, F30, several Marshalls, the Hughes and Kettner Switchblade, 2 Soldanos, Engl Powerball. The only amp with real punch among the amps i tried was the Rectifier and the F30 but at a way too loud volume, meaning that things can you forget as a practice amp. Maybe it could work with a Hotplate?
If you take a look at my last thread you can find a lot of information about the JSX with some really amazing sound samples from Darin. I made up my mind and will buy me that amp also taken into consideration that the JSX is a way less expensive option than for exampel the Roadstar.

Can you specify why you like the Roadster better than the JSX?
