Laney TF700 Head

Hi
Just wondering if anyone out there has tried the so called tube fusion Laney amp head TF700...how does it compare to marshall VS100RH and all the other VS heads of that price range...My local store is only selling it for like 300US for the head...seems an ok price..any comments?

yeah thats a pretty good price considering it's £745 rrp for the head and cab. *over here in the uk, i don't think it matches up to the marshall though, not unless you're just going to use the clean channel and then bulk up on effects, cos believe it or not that was the first amp that i plugged my jem7vwh into and to tell you the truth it let the guitar down an auwful lot IMHO.

Anyway at that price you can't complain.
how much is the marshall?

cos if it is much more expensive then i suggest the laney cos there are much more buttons and knobs on it, he he. *(more for your money in other words)

sorry i couldn't tell you bit more about the marshall but i just don't use them enough.

laneys are cool, especially the tf series....their distortion sound is so much different to a marshall, yet can handle almost any situation - prog rock, blues, intrumental...

it also has an overdrive which you can set to be a little more subtle than your lead gain...

i have a tf300x which i got laney to make a custom 12" extension, and it rocks.....

btw you can get any sound you want by purchasing a boss-eq, i have a killer petrucci / mesa sound now!
