Legacy 2x12 cab?

anyone here played it? I'm about to buy a cab to go with my laney vh100r and thought about this one. I wonder how it sounds, if its tight, and smooth or whatever!
Thanks

I don't have anything similar to compare it to, but I'd describe it as punchy and tight (back on)...probably loosens up a bit with the back off. Don;t think you can go too wrong for the money.

would you say it makes the sound more smooth and/or warm, actually a bit less British?

I guess I could comment on that too...my 18 watt Marshall clone is in a Bluesbreaker type 2x12 cab with with Mojotone Vintage British speakers (much like greenbacks). I find the current config a bit bright for my taste, so I bought the Legacy as much for the speakers justot try the V30s. While have have yet to try the V30s in the amp cab, running the amp into the Legacy sounds much better for my taste...and yes, smoother and warmer to be sure, which was what I was after. It's not as chimey on cleans, but much fatter and nicer when dirty, but cleans are still good too, just different.

I tried the Legacy cabs out before as well. These guys have nailed it really nice, "tight, punchy, not as 'chimey', fat and warm" these all describe it really well. The Legacy cab is built solid, it doesn't bottom out on anything. It's awsome I love em!

One thing you might want to keep in mind- the Legacy 2x12 cab was designed for use with the Legacy combo, not the head. While it can physically handle the head, and power ratings won't be a problem, cosmetically, it'll be a bit odd; the cab will be an inch or two narrower than most heads. This will make your rack look topheavy.

Good point...looks ARE important. Althoug I believe the Legacy head is slightly shorter (1.75") that the 2x12?

yes! looks are important

Just look at my 100w head through a 2x12 designed for a combo.... looks top heavy... plus I've got some weird "ring"-style movie thing going on
