Legacy Mark 2

I saw the Vai.com mail update of what's happening in the next year and I haven't seen another thread talking about this so.......

I was immediately interested in the new Legacy (more about that later) and new Ibanez dist pedal. Although I'm wondering if the pedal will be as good as the Keeley modified ones which has been Vai's fave for a while. Be interesting to check it out even though I'm a confirmed MXR and Xotic fan.

Now the new Legacy, rumors have said it's a 3 channel job. So I'm thinking that it'll be a tweaked (voicing wise) and cooler looking Carvin V3 just like the Legacy is a tweaked and cooler looking MTS3200 The price with Vai's name on it will probably be $1100 I'm guessing. I just wonder if the new Legacy will have more gain than the existing one or if your just going to get an extra gain channel with all the bells and whistles of the Midi and loops but with the current sound. Be interesting to find out :-)

It's just a shame that Carvin are pretty much non existent in Britain.

My keyboard player (hell, the whole band expect me) works at Carvin, and he wasen't aware about the Legacy 2, so I'm guessing the specs are being kept on the low for now.

It's non-existent in the USA, too. You can only buy their amps online or at Guitar Center if someone trades in. So there's no real retail presence for Carvin in the US either. Frankly, with the dollar sinking so low, it should be a bargain to buy a US amp in the UK, even considering that everything is taxed and tariffed to death there.

And you don't work there...why?
Get me some discounted gear, bro!
If I had to guess, it'll be out in 2010. Not sure why, but I have a feeling that it's going to be tweaked alot. We haven't heard enough about it yet for it to come out this soon.
