hey everyone, I'm finally in the market for a good amp, and I'm not sure what to choose. I was looking at Soldano (something like a Lucky 13, I'm not going for a super high gain half stack), but then I started thinking about Vai's Legacy amps. And once I saw the combo (not to mention the very friendly price tag!), I got really interested. But I was wondering, how is the clean channel on that thing? See, I'd rather go with a Fender or a
Peavey Classic 50 and boost it with an OD pedal rather than get a super
high gain amp that has a sucky clean channel. But I'm really interesting in the Legacy at this point, and if it has a nice clean, I'm sold pretty much. I'd need the clean for jazz sounds, funky sounds, pretty sounds...Fender clean tone is my first choice but I want more gain. So put it this way...I don't need a clean that can do Ballerina 12/24 and not be able to pull off jazz. So can the Legacy do that, or should I look into other stuff? Thanks.
