Hey, since I want to buy a bunch of picks, and after Darren's suggestion in this thread, it hit me: why don't we get some custom Jemsite picks made? we all know the 'Jemsite custom guitar' will never happen, but this seems feasible.

My proposal:
-Some member designs a cool logo. We have talent here! Gauge and material could be agreed.

-Some reputable member collects orders (money first!) and once he has a reasonable number, he orders the picks, and then ships them to the buyers.

Of course, since Jemsite belongs to Glen, we would need his permission (I'm sure he doesn't need the royalties for the sales of a bunch of picks )

Since I'm in Chile, it would be a PITA for me to order them, and I have no design skills, but, hey, sign me up for a hundred!

What do you think?

Sounds like a plan mate! It would be a bit difficult to agree on gauge/material though...

Sounds like a great idea.

As far as gauge/material is concerned maybe a poll in the poll forum???

Or we could just say our favourites here???

We would needsomeone to make a design, maybe disapearing pyramids?? this is JEMsite after all. Or vines??? Lions claws

The minimum order is 800 picks, and you can break that down in lots of 100 into different colours and gauges. I don't know if you can also break it down into different kinds of picks, e.g. 100 Tortex, 100 Delrin, etc. but it's probably an easy question for them to answer.

i've thought about doing picks several times, but ultimately felt i'd be ordering a few hundred $ of giveaways & never got around to it.

most places do allow random colors and require 1 gross per "size". if there is more interest i can definately help get this going ...glen

I'm down. I think the design should have that upper left hand corner logo on it. Where it says "jemsite.com" with the triangle and such. I think gauge is gunna be hard to get for everyone, I like 1mm though. Doesn't matter what material for me.

Given the size of a pick, my recommendation would be to put a pyramid on one side and "jemsite.com" on the other, and make them in an assortment of gauges and suitably neon colours... pink, green, yellow.

That's great! here's a little more detailed proposal:

-Design: what Darren said.
-Maker: Dunlop.
-Gauge: 1mm (I think it'll be the most popular if several gauges aren't possible)
-Material: Delrin or tortex.

I'm guessing 1.5mm might be a little more common with players here.

I'm in.

Are we planning on getting the same style and thickness Steve is actually using? It seems fitting.
