lexicon mpx110

anyone have any opinions on this?

I'm relatively new to effects processors, so I might need some filling in.

anyway, my original plan was to get a G-major, but I thought it might be cheaper to go for a lexicon mpx 110 for effects and a dbx 266 for compression and a noise gate.

I want to know if Im loosing anything by going with the cheaper option. How is the lexicon for tone colouring compared to the g-major?

EDIT: I'd like to add that id use the g-major/mpx and 266 mostly for delay, compression, noise gate and chorus for cleans. I might use other effects here and there, but mostly for novelty.
