Light weight but loud tube amps?
So I am looking for a tube amp that is
light
weight
around $1,000 - 2,000 the problem is the higher the cost the heavier the amp, and I really need a tube amp thats light because usually I go to my friends house to jam and I cant hear myself with my crappy solid-state amp. I dont need something with a lot of effects or anything just maybe some real nice distortion/clean and just light weight tube amp
THANKS YA

Re: Light weight but loud tube amps?
Vht has a smaller pitbull combo. I think it is 40 watts, not 100%. I have heard great things about the sound of it and I know Vhts are built rock solid.
Another option is the new Bogner Alchemist. I tried one at guitar center and was really impressed. The
amp
is a bit smaller and priced very well especially for a bogner.
And if you haven't already, check out the new Egnator Rebel. I haven't played one yet, but there are some decent videos of it floating around.
Those are my suggestions.
And most
tube
amps over 10 watts will be plenty loud for most gigs.

That'll be the tiny terror you want........
I use mine for gigs with a noisy drummer and bass player and even on the 7 watt setting it ROCKS.......
Don't be put off by the 7/15 watt output - they're really loud and sound great
I have a boogie and a JSX head to choose from too......... but i use the TT

the carvin v3 is only 35 pounds... if you dont need to carry speaker cabs then that might be an option?

mesa express 5:25 with the 12 inch speaker. plenty of volume even on the 5 watt setting. You can check out some demo videos on youtube.

Re: Light weight but loud tube amps?
The Rivera Chubster 40 weighs 42 pounds. The Chubster 55 weighs 52 pounds.
With either amp, you'll have Fender "tweed" or "blackface" cleans, Marshall crunch and modern hi-gain distortion as well, all in one package.
If your budget allows for more features, check out the Fandango 112 (voiced for EL34 power tubes) or the Quiana 112 (voiced for the 6L6GC power tubes). Both of those models are about 65 pounds.

The TT does sound nice. Also, look at the Bogner Alchemist.

Orange Tiny Terror or the Egnater Rebel 20, definitely what you want. come with little gig bags too, and buy yourself a nice 1x12 speaker cabinet.

The TT comes as a combo. And very nicely matched as well. No need for a cab.
