Re: Line 6 Bognor
Epic fail, IMO. You can buy a heck of a used all-
tube amp
for what they're charging. Sure, it does sound better than a "regular" PODxt straight into PA, but that's not saying much. I wish they stopped being so greedy and just used state of the art processors in their products, not five bucks a chip garbage they're using. AxeFx has shown that the potential is there. If Line 6 were willing to let go of that fat profit margin just a little bit,
tube amps
would not be as popular as they are by now.

Yeah while it may have an excellent
power amp
(which I could not detect) it still sounds like a POD and is overpriced for that.
+1 to Epic Fail

I can't believe they got George Bogner to even do it. He ruined his name. That amp sucks.

First off, Who the **** is george bogner???????
Second, when has this site been infected with internet speak? maybe I havn't been around as much but "epic fail" What the **** does that mean?, In reality I know what it means but talk like a human being that is educated not like a moron. Is this the Avenged Sevenfold/Hot topic site now?? No disrespect to the site elders, but is this what we have to do to fit in with the new scene kids that come here???
Thirdly, I OWN a
Bogner Uberschall
AND the Spider valve, and yeah this amp might not be for gigging, but it's a GREAT
practice amp
and sounds a ton better than the original spider series, and at louder volumes the tube amp makes it sound like an amp not digital ****.
In MY opinion, Reinhold Bogner made a smart choice as breaking even building a product is admireable but this world is based on making money when you have a business, and I believe he's doing it!
HA!

Epic = of unusually great size or extent
Fail = to fall short of success or achievement in something expected, attempted, desired, or approved.
I don't see the problem. It's pretty clever actually. If they use it on other forums thats their problem. But it's not the same as using "u" in place of "you". And stop reading Avenged Sevenfold forums

Calm down, dude. This comes from the "fail/win" internet phenomenon - you've seen the pics. I like it. There's also lolcat subculture and from seeing you in pain like this I think you won't like it. We use it at work quite a bit, PhDs in linguistics like it. Inviting someone for lunch takes the form of "I can haz cheezburger?"

Re: Line 6 Bognor
The Fail/Epic Fail I think is from the viral net (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_video
) subculture. Attack of the Show has been doing a net viral epic fail spot for quite awhile now, and its quite funny.
I think I would just get an Atomic with a POD xt..for the same price LOL....

Re: Line 6 Bognor
MorbidAngel,
Sorry for getting his first name wrong. I thought
Eddie Van Halen
called him George.
http://www.bogneramplification.com/
Reinhold Bogner had been designing and building amplifiers long before leaving Germany in 1989. Moving to Los Angeles he quickly gained the trust of many influential players including: Steve Stevens, Dan Huff,
Allan Holdsworth
, Mike Landau and Steve Vai who sought out his skill at modifing and custom building their amps. Eddie Van Halen entrusted Reinhold to overhaul and revitalize Eddies #1 Marshall Plexi, Eddie was pleased. BOGNER AMPLIFICATION was born.
He's an Amp God. Anyone who's played through a Bogner and isn't blown away, is crazy. I wish I had one. Any one. But the LINE 6 is garbage.
