Line 6 Echo Pro Studio

Hi all,

Anyone have the Echo Pro? I'm thinking about getting one but was wondering what the dimensions are - I can't find them on the Line 6 site or the online stores. I especially need the depth and length.

By the way, if you've got it...do you like it?

Thanks,
G

I don't have one, but I know it's one rack space if that helps you any. That means it's like 18" across? Couldn't be more than a foot or so deep.

Thanks Dave. Actually the depth is important to me because I'm planning on getting a "PedalPad" (really cool pedal board). One model that they sell has a section where shallow rack units can be installed.

I also sent a note to the owner of the PedalPad company and he said that the Line 6 studio rack effects *would* fit in the pedal board as long as the rack rail is modified (raised slightly). So it looks like I can use the Echo Pro in the setting that I want to.

Thanks for the reply!

I have em at the store... its single rack space, and its a shallow... it would fit in any rack... only like 4-5" deep.

IMHO... save some money, just get the pedal. I've played with it quite a bit, and i cant see anything that makes it worth twice as much as the pedal version. If you can find one for like $350 or less... go for it... but at $500... total ripoff.

Just my 2 cents...

Hey JonRayl,

Thanks for the advice, and believe me I've been agonizing over that decision. A couple things made me go for the rackmount unit. 1) It has a 60 second looper. That saves me $450 for a Boomerang. and 2) the rackmount unit has like 99 user memory settings. The floor unit only has a couple.

good point.. I wasnt thinking about patch memory...

Have you looked at the boss loop station? Way less than the boomerang and gives you 5 and half minutes.

Of course there's always the option of the echoplex reissue... tons of delays and 7 minutes of looping...

K.. I'll stop putting ideas in your head now...

Yeah, I thought about the BOSS looper as well, but buying a looper plus the $250 Line 6 LD4 brings me to the same place I'm at now with just buying the Echo Pro. The EP just seems to be a real well-thought-out piece of equipment from what I can tell. And this is coming from someone who is NOT a Line 6 fan.
