Line6 Questions

I have a couple questions about my Flextone II:

1) *The Marshall JCM800 modeled setting (Brit. High Gain) sounds much wimpier than I'd hoped. *Does the amp distort more when cranked higher? *I keep it pretty low volume mostly, but would like it to sound beefier if I ever get a gig.

2) *Any speaker replacements you could recommend?

despite what line 6 says (same tone at any volume) I've found that yes, distortion is more pronounced at higher volumes. They also need more midrange than other amps, you can get the distortion boost through the floorboard or the amp for even more gain, and lots of compression REALLY helps.

Line6 Questions

Well, I have the distortion boost on at all times, and compression seems to give me feedback, but that's probably because of the small room. *Anyone with speaker recommendations? *I know they recently switched to custom Celestions because of the muddiness and "power handling" problems, anyone know what these would be similar to?
