Linkin Park's Treatment towards their gear
hey all
i jsut watched a live video of linkin park playing "place for my head". the guitarist is playing an ibanez RG. at the end of the song, the singer, picks up the guitar, and just starts smashing it on the stage.
i was horrified! i don't thnk that's cool to break a nice guitar on purpose. i was sad
. iu know many bands do this, your opinions?

They think they're cool.
And what the hell is up with Brad Delson's headphones!?! Are they glued to his head?! If not, they should be.

Re: Linkin Park's Treatment towards their gear
Only kidding,I dont have a problem with it.Ok there are plenty of people who couldnt afford to do that with their gear, but they've worked to get to that stage,so good for them

Re: Linkin Park's Treatment towards their gear
Because their music is about as aggressive as a 3 year old throwing a tantrum in a candy shop? They have to make up for it somewhere, smashing the guitar must make them feel more manly.

Re: Linkin Park's Treatment towards their gear
I'm sure they wouldn't be doing that if they were paying for the guitars. For every one they smash up, Ibanez probably sends them a new one. To them Linkin Park using Ibanez = a lot of kids wanting Ibanez. If that happened to me, I'd be smashing guitars I'm bored of every day!

Re: Linkin Park's Treatment towards their gear
Depends what model it was
IMO it's something that has been done so many times it's pathetic to see it now. It's not big, it's not clever, it's not new

Re: Linkin Park's Treatment towards their gear
The RG was probably happy to be broken, now it doesn't have to play crappy linkin park songs anymore

linkin park is a great band. if u don't like rapcore, i'm sorry, but then don't make fun of them. i don't say unearth sux, just bc i don't like their style. they're a good band, that's why they're famous. their guitars aren't the best, i agree, but it's rapcore, what do you expect?
