Re: Lookie what I got....

oooo, I had one of those, what year is yours?
mine was a '71 - sweet.

BTW, it was far too bloody loud, I only ever got it up to 6 - and that was a pretty big venue...

Buy a power brake, or similar item, hell even a variac, otherwise youll miss out on what it has to offer or go deaf first.

Re: Lookie what I got....

I used a hotplate with mine, and it was the worst investment I could've made.
I was able to crank the amp but it sounded dull and lifeless

I used one with my JCM800, sold it a month later.

HotPlates along with Sonic Maximizers make great door stops.

Re: Lookie what I got....

FYI, the power brake has a bad habit of catching on fire...

Anyway, the beast showed up this morning and looks even better than the pics. I doubt this thing has ever taken out of the house. I won't get a chance to fire it up for a couple of days (no cabinet), but will by the weekend.

That sucks...

I don't use it all the time I got it when I got a Mk-lV once and that guy used it for a long, long time with no issue.
The MK Boogies seem to me to be really too loud they almost need something to bring them down soo they don't rip your head off.
