I thought so, too. I mean, I'm no Paul Waggoner, but my sweeps sound way better than what that guy was doing with that ebow. I suppose it could have its place, but... meh.

There's no such thing as cheating in playing guitar...

I doubt any one of us can go out, buy an Ebow and start playing like that. It takes some practice. And the difference in sound is nice. Picked sweeping won't sound the same as this either.

Actually, I beg to differ. What he's doing isn't all that impressive. All he's doing is sweeping across the independent string with the Ebow. I could do that within 2 minutes of owning the thing, and so could you.
