For what they charge for it?

Isn't it basically just a 2203 with a new faceplate? I was actually rather impressed with the JCM800 I played (somehow I'd never plugged into one before) after growing up in the DSL/TSL era, but for the volume those things have to run at to not sound like crap, well...

Then again, I'm a Recto owner who'd be lost without his hotplate, so I can't talk.

I think the powertubes are different to a 2203, the ZW head has 6650 output powertubes blasting out massive tone which certainly impressed me enough, I had one for a year, but I just sold it for $4000.

Good decision. I forget what 2203's go for these days, but I assure you 6550 poweramp tubes are not $3k a quartet.

doesn't Zakk still play through his old 2203's, behind a wall of signature heads, anyway?

He does indeed, the big wall of doom. After a year of using it for gigs, I wanted rid of it, I knew a normal 2203 could just do aswell anyways, so I thought I may aswell sell it on for more gear.

Does it come with beer bottles in place of tubes?
