Marshall 6101 30th Anniversary--humming sound

So my Marshall 6101 Combo Amp always had a buzzing/humming sound--even when the volume is turned to 0. As soon as the power button is engaged, the humming sound starts and never goes away. It's not real loud but annoying enough. I've heard many amps not make a sound until the guitar is engaged. Makes me jealous. I love this amp though, so I'll never get rid of it.

Wondering if any Marshall 6101 or 6100 users have the same experience? Not sure if this occurs with any other Marshall Amp?

If anyone may know how to fix the issue please let me know. No matter where I plug the amp in it has the same humming sound in any building. Very annoying when the amp is miked or directly connected into a PA system. Makes the soundman annoyed too. I think he sometimes hits the "suck button" when I play? Thanks!

I can't say as I've noticed this problem on my 6100LM. Whilst I can't help you directly, I'll point in the direction of the Marshall Amp Forum, where many of the guys REALLY know their stuff. Hopefully they can suggest answers.

Good Idea! Thanks. I'll give that a try.
