Marshall JMP-1

Hi guys,

I'm currently using a boss gt6 but got a deal for a marshall jmp-1. I was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback on jpm-1 and if I would be able to expect tone improvement with the switch from gt6 to jmp-1? I'm currently lining gt6 direct into my pc and amplification through speakers. Would the same way be possible for jmp-1? Thanks alot.

Re: Marshall JMP-1

Well, if you think about replacing the GT6 with the JMP-1... that would be a total change of systems.... a mulit-fx with amp-sims on one side, a simple preamp on the other side.

Improvement.... well, the JMP-1 imho offers the better tones, though, the only thing it does is giving you Marshall tones (yet the best cleans I heard in a Marshall).

Linking the JMP-1 to the PC would work with the Speaker Emulated Outputs it offers.

Combining both should give you nearly anything you need.

Hi Lenny,
That sounds promising. Looks like I really got to check this JMP-1 thing out.

I love my JMP1! Realy great tone, way better than my boss GT3. Altough it is not 100% tube sound. Never used the emulator...

Re: Marshall JMP-1

Hi there guys,

The problem now is I dont have a amp with me. My amp which has a return and send is currently at my drummer's place. Most of the time, I run the gt6 through the computer which is amplified by 4 satellites and 2 sub woofers. With a tight budget, I really hope it is possible to do the same way with JMP-1. Have any of you tried it out before? Thank you so much guys!

Regards
Ric

I love my JMP-1. Apart form everything else it forms the basis of the midi chain for all my rack gear.

Im terms of monitoring, why not just use the headphone socket? I know it's better to use a speaker, but I get a good sound and it doesn't bug the wife.
