Marshall Question..

I bought my Marshall TSL stack last year and I have recently been having some problems with it. Whenever I switch it on, and use the V.P.R mode on it, there seems to be a build up of static noise/ crackling that builds up gradually the longer I use it, to the point of me having to shut the amp off as it is so intrusive. This happens over a minate or two after turning it on, so it has rendered the amp useless when I want to play in the evenings.

It doesn't seem to happen when I use it normally, which limits me to playing through the day. But the point is that I should be able to use all the ****ing functions on it flawlessly.

Anything I should check before taking it to a tech?

Cheers.

Not likely anything you did hurt the amp. If you're still covered under warranty call the shop you bought it at and see if they are authorized to repair it. If not you'll probibaly have to ship it back to Marshall or find an authorized repair shop. Sorry.... hope you get it sorted out though!

Re: Marshall Question..

Virtual Power Reduction, or something similar. It kicks the output down from 100W too 25W.

Can't say as I've experienced anything like this with my TSL. Try the guys over at the Marshall Amp Forum, they really know their Marshalls.
