Jemgirl?

I'd go for Mesa Boogie Stiletto Deuce.
If you HAVE TO get a Nomad, go for the 55 2x12 version.

Re: mesa boogie 212 nomad45 or the 55

the 45 has el84s, which are used more for classic amps and vintage amp tones. the 6l6 or el34s are used in more modern higher gain aplications. 6l6s have bigger rounder tone than the el84 but the 84 is a bit sweeter sounding.

i'd go with the 55, a plus as well with the 55 is that you only have 2 power tubes to replace everyso offten compared to 4 with the 45.

Re: mesa boogie 212 nomad45 or the 55

but the 45 has the extreme power amp setting that strips away the negative feedback which IMO is bigger sounding than the 55s. and the el84 bottels are smalller and cost roughly the same as a pair of the bigger power tubes. between the 45 or 55 id go with a 45, and not just cuz i already have one. however if you can find a nomad 100 with a 5 band EQ then that'd be even better.....

Hi. I'd go with Nomad 55. I have one, and still hasn't let me down. The good thing in it is that you can put 6L6:s OR EL34:s in it, and change the sound almosxt completely. With EL34:s, I think the sound is almost heavenly. The only bad thing is, it weighs a ton! I actually can't carry it alone anymore. But other than that, I would go for it!
