MIDI controller Question

Hey guys! how are u doing?
I havent got a chance to write here for a while...

well, next week I'm getting my salary...and of course - the money goes on some new gear .

so I'm about to buy a DigiTech Quad 4 (any comments on that one, by the way?) and a Roland FC-200 Midi Controller.

I already have a ADA MP-1 and some more pedals...

my question is -
Can the FC-200 control the ADA and the Digitech?
I mean...not just by connecting the Digitech to the ADA loop. -
I mean - switching patches, using the expression pedal, etc.
and also control the ada.

thanks alot!

Well, it depends oh what MIDI-Commands the digitech understands. Earlier MIDI-gear for guitarists understood only PRogram Changes, that allowed us to switch to different patches.

Later on real-time control was introduced (Continous COntrol, or Change Commands), with those it was able to tweak settings during playing (e.g. with the Expression pedal). The FC200 sure can send those commands, the question still is wether the ADA or DIgitech do understand them (look up in the manuals for the MIDI-implementation chart).
