Midi Footcontroller - need suggestions

OK. *Here's the scenario. *I'm venturing back into guitar rack system territory. *Here's what I have (in order):

Furman Power Conditioner
Rocktron Chameleon
BBE 462 Sonic Maximizer
Rocktron Velocity 120 Power Amp

Now, I'm looking for a reasonably priced midi footcontroller that'll give me lots of flexibility. *I'd like to get the Rocktron All Access, but I believe it runs about $900 & that's just too much. *Any suggestion? *

Behringer has a new footcontroller out that looks very promising. *It'll most likely be pretty cheap (all Behringer stuff is, at least here in europe), but it has a lot of very cool functionality. *Check out www.behringer.de , I believe there's a link to it from the front page.

Or else try the direct link: http://www.behringer.de/eng/products...ns/fcb1010.htm

Try the Digital Music Corp. Ground Control.

I have one and am very happy. And it's not $900.

It's very flexable and I believe you can download the manual from their site. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask.

depends what your needs are really .....

the all access is built like a tank but very expensive

the rolls are cheap and powered via midi and accept up to 8 CC pedals (hmmmmmm might be enough)

i also second simon's suggestion of the ART, and recommend myself the yamaha MFC-10 which has 1 built in CC and provision for 4 more

i've had one for years, dropped it, spilt beer on it, left it in venues ..... and it still comes back for more

Thanks for all of the suggestions. *I'll definately keep them in mind. *I've decided to start checking prices for the Rocktron All Access. *Can anyone recommend a couple of GOOD online music store who carry these. *I've found a couple of Rocktron dealers, but they only carry the amps. *thanks.

Hey Rev,
*I have the same system you described, but with a Velocity 300, and was going for the Rocktron All Access, until I saw the ART X-15. Believe me, you want the ART!!! For the money, nothing will give you this kind of access.
* *Good Luck,
G.M.

OK, you convinced me to go with the ART X-15. *I ordered one today. *Thanks for all the help. *Now, hopefully I'll get all of this newly acquired rack gear to work together since I'm an idiot when it comes to processors.

Once you set up all the MIDI channels to respond to your controller, you'll be pleased as punch !
Whats nice is you can assign the expresion pedals to control almost ANY parameter that can be affected by a midi signal, ie: lengthen the tail of a reberb out of a solo, increase the depth of flanging, rate, I used this one to simulate a leslie cab type sound, kinda kewl.
Much versitility !
Enjoy, let me know if you have any ?'s I have changed my setup so many times and the X-15 is still at my feet controlling it all. Have fun !

I also have an Art X-15 which I scored for under $200 on eBay long ago. *I love it! *Only complaint is I wish the expression pedals had toe-switches and the mechanism for controlling the expression pedals is kinda flimsy (not the pedals themselves). *There's a little piece of plastic underneath that appears to have a bar-code like design on it. *I had a cable get tangled up underneath the pedal once and bent the plastic piece up pretty badly - still works but doesn't leave me feeling real secure.... *Nowudameen.

Rocktron also makes a cheaper foot controller. *It's called the midimate. *I had no problems with mine. *It works great, and even has an input for a continuous controller/volume pedal.
