I'm running my DBK through a Bad Horsie (1) into a Marshall AVT150 head and 1936 2X12 cabinet. AWSOME! and quiet too!
I like the original BH better.
Just my 2 cents

Very good wah, and one of the quietest I've used. Fantastic for Vai style tone colouring, but not so good if you want to do 70's funk "waka waka" stuff. Only a problem if you do the music to porn films I suppose!

Ahh, the truth comes out. Turns out Snork's real name is Kirk Hammett, and even his mom hates his wah overuse.

PS- your post, for some reason, reads like a haiku. cool

Great sounding pedal but the only downfall is that you can't leave it filtered in a set position because of the spring. You have to keep your foot on it resisting the spring pressure for the whole part. Very difficult to do and my ankle is now twice the size of the other one! Our band plays Kelly Clarkson's "Miss Independence" ...........hey quit laughing.......it's a job.....but that whole verse part is filtered wah and is a killer with spring loaded Morely. I'm waiting for the Weeping Demon from Ibanez to come in. It looks very interesting.

Honestly, how could someone like the original better? The new one just adds a button and a couple dials, and the original wah sound is still there if you want it. Do the controls get in your way or was the original sound modified?

I can understand why some people like the original better... it's true, you can get more than one wah sound with the Bad Horsie 2, but after you find a sound you like, you're probably gonna leave it on that setting pretty much the whole time.. so if you already like how the original Bad Horsie sounds, then you don't really need to pay more money for the 2nd one if you're gonna end up using the original sound. But then again maybe you want more flexibility, in which case the Bad Horsie 2 would be a better choice.
When i went out to buy mine, i was planning on getting the 2nd one but after trying the original i saw no point in paying more for the second. this was a year or two ago and i still love my Bad Horsie, and i'd rather have a wah that opperates this way (how it activates and the spring) rather than a traditional kind of a wah pedal. But that's just my opinion.

P.S. They're not noisy, they're the quietest wah pedals i've played through.

I hate the Bad Horise sound, but once you put it into contour mode you can get some sweet tones out of it.

You ever try using it in "contour" mode and pushing it all the way to the floor, and then adjusting the Contour knob to the frequency you want?

I don't think that's what he means...I think he means he can't keep it ****ed in one position.
