Morley Lil Aligator

Has anybody A/B'ed plugging directly into your amp and then using the Morley lil alligator pedal between your amp and guitar? If so, have you noticed ANY difference in tone? Last night I tried out a Dearmond volume pedal (a vintage high quality made in USA pedal) and noticed a difference in tone. I want something that doesn't color the tone.

I had the same problem with the LAG stomping on my sound. I don't know if it's poor circuit design or just the nature of the beast, but it collects dust in a closet for me now. :\

Try the volume pedal in the effects loop instead of before the amp. This way you're just lowering the volume of the signal coming out of the pre-amp.

Only problem with that is that I have my effects loop programmed to switch off on 4 of the 9 TriAxis patches that I use so that my Xpression is off and I get only the TriAxis dry signal.
