MXR Script Phase 90 or EVH?

Lookin to buy a Phase 90. I owned one, sold it, now 2 years later I regret it. But since I'm looking for true bypass only, I'm sort of glad I sold the regular old one. So, which sounds better, the Script (with LED, can't stand to not have one) or the EVH? I tried the EVH, and it sounds a ton better than the standard one, though I'm not sure if it's true bypass or not (it was set up at Guitar Center with like 15 other pedals and about half probably weren't true bypass). I know the Script is. The Script button on the EVH didn't do crap though, but I don't care, the regular tone was great. So much more clear than the standard!
So basically, which is better, Script or EVH? Thanks.

The script with LED and the EVH are the exact same pedal. If you open them up, the boards are identical but the script model just has the script/block switch from the EVH model permanently engaged. If you only want the script sound, buy the script model because it's $30 cheaper.

I would get an original if anything. but, you should check out the boss ps-3. It will do a very good slow phase 90. I like it better than the EVH personally.

I have the script with the LED and love it. Can't say anything about the EVH, as I've never played one, other than one is dishing out a premium merely because of the EVH affiliation.

If you have the money, get this one, the Vintage 74 Phase 90 Reissue (don't confuse it with the regular Script Reissue). This one's got the exact circuit as the original script Phase 90s:

I've checked out the vintage one. Looks pretty sweet.
I say no the EVH, regardless, now. It's too expensive for a stupid paint job. So it's between the Script LED and the 74.
