My POD XT doesnt turn on after installing models packs! :(

i purchased the model packs (triple deal) and installed everything with line6 money



i updated the driver first nd then installed the model packs





everything went ok with no errors



up till the point when it asked me to turn off the pod and turn it back on





now all i get is orange screen and it stuck there



anyone know how to fix this?

you might be able to get it to do a full factory reset, but it sounds like it got a power jolt/unplugged while updating and has hence killed itself

sounds like you didn't finish the install. re-try it. bet it works.

Line 6 faq/ forum. totally check there.

i didnt get any reply in the line6 forums

i did reflash for the memory and fireware like 10 times already and its the same all the time

its corrupted the memory it uses to remember how to install its firmware so it will be like that forever unless you get it replaced.

one thing i found out

i managed to turn it on and it works but thats after turning it off/on for likr 50 times

and the screen it fcked up

im not turning it off ever again O_O

Have you tried starting it in safe mode?
Hold down the first soft button while you power it up iirc then run monkey and let it reload the flash memory. I had a similiar problem once when I had the xtpro and this sorted it.

i tried that but im not sure i did it right

how do u know if you are in safe mode? (since my screen blank i donno if i get there)

i can try to get the screen on but it will take a like an hour of turning on/off but should i see
something on the screen if im in safe mode?

It's a couple of yearas since I had to do it, but yes the screen will let you know...

I think you would assume it's in safe mode and see what monkey can do to reflash.
