NAD: Blackstar HT-50 cLub
After doing a ton of research, I finally settled in the
Blackstar
HT-50
. I considered several amps, including the Orange Dark Terror, Mesa Mini Rectifier, Jet City, and even thought about going ultra high end and saving up for a Mesa Mark V, but that would take too long, and I wouldn't be able to test one before buying. The other amps were all available in a local music store, so I could test them out with the exception of the Mini Rectifier. The Blackstar just had the perfect balance of great sound, ease of use and flexibility that I was looking for. I've been playing on it for a week now, and it really is a monster. I just find it awesome that I can plug the guitar in, and almost all settings sound good. Tons of gain on tap for heavy stuff, but it also cleans up very nice. In fact, I haven't even tried any of my pedals with it yet, heh.
BTW, for anyone wondering, the two 1x12 cabs were done by me and my dad, though I'm only using one of them right now. The one I'm using is loaded with an Eminence Legend 1258 speaker.
Here's a quick pic of the amp:
And a quick family shot:

Re: NAD: Blackstar HT-50 cLub
I was in the same position and since I could not find an Ht-50 like yours, I got a Ht-100 hehehehe
The amp is great and the price was more than right, if you change the tubes and use a JJ and a tungsol 12ax7 in the preamp you will notice how the amp rock!
Anyway, this is my blackstar with a custom 4x12 with selected speakers.
Anyway, I love the amp. Maybe I gonna get another blackstar head, an Ht-50 in the future.
Congrats for the amp

Congrat on the amp. I have a HT5 and just wish for more headroom. Great tone for recording but useless for gig. Looking at the HT-50 also.

Re: NAD: Blackstar HT-50 cLub
@Tungisol: Thanks mate! I'll enjoy it as is for now, but later on I do plan on playing with changing the tubes. Will keep your suggestion in mind
I wouldn't get an HT-50 though, if you already have the HT-100, unless you are gigging a lot and need a backup amp. They basically do the same things. I do plan on getting an HT-5H later on, both for friends that come over to play, as well as being able to carry it around easily.
@11racksfx: Yeah, I considered getting an HT-5 for a while, because in reality, I am not gigging at all atm. But, considering that the master on this amp works really, really well and I do plan on gigging later on, I figured the HT-50 would cover all bases. Plus, the extra voices are actually more useful than I imagined.

Great buy,
I just got a HT5RH , got it working at the weekend and I am very happy.
Great tone, well built and looks good, I guess yours is even better.

Awesome, how is it to get a nice high gain lead tone? Does it take alot of dialing in to get nice tones?

Re: NAD: Blackstar HT-50 cLub
Nope, this amp is really easy do dial anything you want. The controls are really responsive and act as you expect them to, so there's no guess work. I basically still have the settings pretty much like in the pics, but I rolled the bass down a couple of notches, and increased the gain a bit after playing a bit more. The low notes sound tighter this way. It also has a ton of gain on tap. So much so, that I'm yet to plug an overdrive pedal before it.
