Need advice..... my new Christmas pres.. Eventide H3000D/SE

One of those things you've wanted but never could afford, still can't but came across a deal I couldn't pass. An H3000D/SE clean as they come without being new, original box and manual for a steal of a price.

Of course it doesn't have the "Vai" presets. An old time pro and friends of the Eventide sales rep said you can get pretty darn close without buying the adds.

Does anyone have experience?

Congrats - a great unit. Word of advice - you'll be tempted to augment or 'tweak' the factory presets and save them - - don't! There are user presets to play around with, but over time you will want the factory presets - they really ARE the best.

I had a 2000 so maybe the 3000 is different and the factory presets can't be changed, but just be careful. You can google for Eventide custom patches and find what you're looking for.

No plans to tweak the presets, thanks for the advice though...

I'm in hopes that someone out there has a BUNCH of good info on this very fine piece of equipment.

I think it might come down to navigation skills.
