Need to replace my TS9 and Metal Muff

I use the TS9 for Blues and the Metal Muff for hard rock/metal type stuff.

I am trying to reduce the number of pedals on my board so is there any pedal that can do both? I need to be able to switch between the high gain sound and the overdrive sound via foot switch don't want to bend over to do it.

Tone is most important, has to be under $300, doesn't have to be true bypass. Size also doesn't matter I have plenty of space.

well, don't know if it would reduce space, but the line6 distortion modeller would do it with no problems. i think it was discontinued, but could still be found if you look hard enough. just an option.

Space is not a problem.

I really don't like Line 6 distortion stuff.

Does the Tonebone Trimode have lots of gain? Say as much as the Metal Muff or similar?

that's about as close to what you want as I could find

or you could buy the Damage Control Demonizer or Liquid Metal pedals.

Visual Sound Jeckyll & Hyde will do the blues thing, it has the TS808 chip, as far as the distortion part of it...well it's REALLY tweakable, LOTS AND LOTS of usable sounds, including some metal sounds...you might as well give it a try

Re: Need to replace my TS and Metal Muff

Last saturday I tested it against a Line 6 Ubermetal (this one works great also) and it didn't had as much gain as the Uber, but still you can get a GREAT metal sound out of it, you just have to push it to the edge to get as much gain as posible. I like the overall sound of the J&H better though...much more "organic". And again, I don't think that you can do better with another pedal as far as the blues part goes...JRC4558D chip owns...
Great buffer on this pedal also. Pedal is a little bit noisy, specially on high gain settings, seems like they fixed this problem with the V2 series, they added a noise gate. Feel free to ask whatever you need to know about the pedal! I'm quited hooked on this one! heheheheh
