new amp choice!

ok so
on the bay i can get a carvin legacy combo for 1250 australian
dad reckons get an amp fro muss corner but im not fond of them , is legacy good?
i do alot of metal, vai, satch, tapping (like stanley jordan) and a bit of blues, in my band we do alot from artic monkeys, the police all the way to rory gallagher and stevie ray vaughn
so what do you guys say? marshall combo or mesa boogie combo or jemini?
which is better for metal like yngwie, pantera and vai?

Mesa Boogie or Carvin hmmmm such a dilema, I am currently faced with the same choice, and my mind and heart both point to Mesa Boogie.. But Carvin looks good also....

well im kinda strapped for cash (have to loosening the pot with dad - my marshall broke and i always hated that piece of crap)
i can also get a peavey jsx 120 watt combo or the carvin
both include footswitch
but which sounds better and is better for variety
mind you, im an effects man im buying pedals alot and like using alot like vai.
but the peavey has 3 channels
but the carvin is amazing - through a jemini and universe pickups ill be able to burn down buildings!!!!!

The Legacy takes pedals very well, from my brief experience with them, both in front and in the loop. And it also really does sound like Vai, in my opinion. Check out the clips on the carvin.com page
