Re: Coming soon...

Here it is bitches....

First you have to endure the story.

As some of you may or may not know, I buy and sell ALOT of gear, and sometimes I come across some pretty good deals.

Well my local Guitar Center had a used '94 Jimi Hendrix Limited stack (purple tolex, only 100 in the US) and it has been there a long time. Anyway, I was chatting with the store manager back in early November and he mentioned that the Jimi had to go, and GC was going to have to take a loss on it. I told him (half joking) that I would pay $XXXX for it and we chuckled about it.

The following week, I get a call from the same store manager wanting to know if I was serious about buying the stack. He went on to tell me that if I could wait until December, he could absorb the loss and I could have it.

Well I was supposed to pick it up tonight, but I got a call this morning that another salesperson had seen the markdown and sold it first thing this morning.

I was NOT a happy camper about 11 am this morning. However, I like to think that everything happens for a reason, and what goes around, comes around.

The manager felt terrible, and he called me this afternoon and wanted to know if I would take a '05 40th Anniversary JTM 45/100 stack for the same price!

Needless to say I jumped on it.

This is all I could get before the camera died.

For those that don't know, this is THE Marshall reissue to have. Only 250 ever made worldwide.

Re: New amp day!!!!

Wow, cool amp!

I've always wondered about these things though. So they have the 4 plugs at the front, I sometimes see two of these plugged into each other. Is that so the guitar drives both the high treble and normal at the same time, and that both come out the speaker cabs at the same time? Essentially having one power section giving you the low end, and a totally separate one giving you the high end?

Re: New amp day!!!!

To be honest, I don't know anything about Marshalls. Played a few in the 70's, didn't like them, and that was it. Almost all I know about Marshalls I just read in your link
So, did you get the full stack (I can't tell if those two cabs are the same or not)? It certainly looks cool!

Re: New amp day!!!!

Yep full stack.

My Superlead is sitting on the straight cab. I thought I would sell off the Superlead, but I am keeping it.

I am such a whore.... lol. I now have the Slash, the Superlead, and the JTM45/100.

All my favorite guitar tones are Marshall, so I am a sucker for them.
