Hey everyone,
Well recently i picked myself up an
Ibanez Tone blaster TB100R Amp. The
local music shop had a sale on, and it was reduced by $400, so i decided i'd take it since i've been looking into a new amp for quite some time.
Just the specs of it:
Solid state
100 watts
2 channels (Clean, Drive)
2 x 12 inch speakers
Effects loop
Boost (adds extra output)
Reverb
Mid shift on the drive channel
4
button footswitch (for controlling: Boost, Channel select, Mid Shift, and Reverb)
Its freaking loud (as you would expect)
The reverb is very subtle, on 10 you can bearly hear it
The drive channel is awesome suits my playing perfectly
Clean channel is excellent (my old amp didn't have a clean channel so this is a big step up)
If you didn't know, The mid shift raises the mid range, so you can be playing some chords then kick the mid shift in and pull out screaming solos, not a bad little feature.
The good thing i like about it is that without the boost you can actually put it up to 2 without blowing your ears, so you can actually play late at night and have the amp to 1 and its a perfect setting. I've seen some 100 watts where you can't put it past 1, so i like it how this one kicks in round the 1.5 - 2 volume mark.
